7:20 pm	Andrea Chénier *seven-fifteen Friday evening: Polonius is in the lobby of the Opera. Occasionally he will greet a colleague or foreign diplomat, but mainly he's studying the cast biographies - Mr. Ariel is making his Elsinore debut as Chénier and is expected to be a success.* Typist: Post for Laertes. --don't look at me like that! 9:02 pm	*the next day, some time between ten and three: Polonius is in his office, but he has made sure to keep his schedule open. He's reading the newspapers, both the Danish ones from all across the political spectrum and the foreign ones, British, American, Swedish, German, and a few each of Norwegian and Polish--it's partially out of professional and political interest, but he does like to keep tabs on his former colleagues.* Typist: Post for Laertes and Ophelia. I would so love for him to be reading about the American primary elections, but that would date it too late for him to be giving his children their Christmas presents. Oh well.
